Genesis 6–11; Moses 8: Noah Chose Right Even When Nobody Else Did

Imagine if all the kids at school were making a bad choice—and you had to decide whether to do it too, or do something different all by yourself.

That's basically Noah's life.

Everyone around Noah was making really bad choices. They were mean, selfish, and didn't care about God. But Noah loved God. Noah was kind and tried to do what was right, even though nobody around him was doing the same thing.

God saw Noah. And God made a plan to keep Noah and his family safe.

God told Noah to build a huge boat called an ark. Noah built it—even though it probably seemed strange to build a giant boat on dry land. When it was finished, God sent rain. And the ark kept Noah, his family, and all the animals safe while the water covered the earth.

When the rain stopped and the land was dry, God made a beautiful promise to Noah. He put a rainbow in the sky. God said: I will never flood the whole earth again. Every time you see a rainbow, that's God's promise.

The Tower

Later, people tried to build a very tall tower to make themselves famous. They didn't want to follow God's direction. God confused their language so they couldn't work together, and everyone scattered.

God's plans always work out. Even when people try to do things their own way.

Your Mission This Week 🙏

This week, try to do one right thing even if you're the only one doing it. Maybe you say something kind when others are being unkind. Maybe you tell the truth when lying would be easier. Maybe you include someone who's being left out. God saw Noah's choices. He'll see yours too.
