Moses 7: God Loves Us So Much It Makes Him Cry

Did you know that God can cry?

Enoch was a prophet, and God showed him a vision. In the vision, Enoch saw God looking at people on earth who had stopped following Him. They were making bad choices and hurting each other.

And God cried.

Enoch was surprised. He thought God was so powerful that He wouldn't feel sad. But God explained: "They are my children. I love them. And they have walked away."

God cried because He loves us. Like when someone you love is hurting and you wish you could make it better. God feels that way about every single person on earth.

The City That Went to Heaven

Enoch spent many years helping people choose to love God and love each other. Little by little, they changed. They started sharing. Nobody was left out, nobody was poor. They were kind and they were united.

God called them Zion. And eventually, the whole city was taken right up to heaven because they had become so much like God.

That's what happens when people really, truly love each other: something wonderful is built.

Your Mission This Week 🙏

God weeps when people feel alone or left out. That means people feeling alone matters deeply to Him—which means it can matter to you too. This week, look for one person who might feel left out, at school, at church, or in your neighborhood. Do one small thing to make them feel seen. That's how Zion starts.
